Body lift techniques can be used to restore a sculpted, youthful figure and address sagging skin on the body. Plastic Surgery and Dermatology Associates offers this comprehensive body sculpting procedure to residents of Fairfax, Washington DC, Arlington and Annandale, VA, and neighboring communities.

What is a Body Lift?

A body lift is a comprehensive body sculpting technique that addresses excess skin and fat on the body to produce a more contoured, youthful appearance. A body lift can be a great solution for patients who have developed sagging skin due to significant weight loss or the natural aging process. At Plastic Surgery and Dermatology Associates, we offer upper body lifts, lower body lifts, and full body lifts to help our patients achieve their cosmetic goals.

How Much Does a Body Lift Cost?

The cost of your body lift at Plastic Surgery and Dermatology Associates will depend on a number of factors. During your initial consultation, we will review your treatment goals in order to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your personal needs. Once this treatment plan is developed, we will be able to provide you with the exact cost of your procedure. In an effort to keep our treatments accessible, we are proud to accept CareCredit® financing in addition to traditional payment methods.

What is the Difference Between an Upper and Lower Body Lift?

An upper body lift procedure targets the arms and the breasts, combining brachioplasty and breast lift techniques. A lower body lift targets the abdomen, hips and thighs, combining tummy tuck and thigh lift techniques. These body lift procedures can be further customized to help patients reach their cosmetic goals. Patients can also combine upper and lower body lift techniques for a full body lift procedure.

How is a Body Lift Performed?

All body lift procedures are performed with the aid of anesthesia to ensure that the patient remains entirely safe and comfortable during the procedure. The incisions made for your body lift procedure will vary depending on the type of body lift you are receiving. For all body lift procedures, Dr. Mirali strives to make the incisions as small and discreet as possible, often hiding them in the natural creases of the body. Through these incisions, we will remove excess skin and fat to enhance the contours of the body. Once the desired results are achieved, the incisions are closed and the treatment will be complete.

What is the Recovery Like After a Body Lift?

After a body lift, patients will experience mild pain, bruising, and swelling in the treatment areas. These effects are especially prevalent in the first few weeks. Given the extensive surgery involved in a body lift, patients may have to take up to a month off of work and other normal activities. Exercise and other strenuous activities may have to be avoided for even longer. During your consultation, Dr. Mirali will provide you with specific recovery instructions based on your personal treatment plan.

Are the Results from a Body Lift Permanent?

The results from your body lift will be long-lasting, even permanent. However, changes in weight and the natural aging process can still cause changes in the appearance of the legs. We encourage patients to maintain healthy diet and exercise habits to ensure that their results last as long as possible.

Plastic Surgery and Dermatology Associates is proud to offer body lifts and other body sculpting techniques to patients living in Fairfax, Washington DC, Arlington, Annandale, and the nearby cities of the DMV.
